Hey guys,
I grabbed a skeeter starfire a week or so ago, the transom is pretty strong still (but I plan to replace it this fall, as it is getting a hairline crack in the drain well on the drivers side. It's got a 200 bolted to it, and It's holding up as of now...

There is a soft spot around the drain well about 1" around it, Any temp fixes for that? Just to run it for the season? Not worried about falling through but when you step on it you can notice the squish in it.

The deck on one side needs a little attention, again it's not terrible, but it will need replaced this fall....

Has anyone done a boat like this before? Maybe a post with images/links?

I've done a 16' champion, and a 14' tidecraft... Fully restored floor/transom... but this 17' looks a little tricky... I used a fork lift on the tidecraft lifted the back up and had some help to pick the nose up and set it off to the side... I have heard these boats are bad about trying to crack around the console on the top cap..

Any suggestions on seperating the top cap from the bottom half when I go to do this?

Typical transom to remove? or is a little more difficult on these boats?

Thanks ahead of time for any help/input.
