Seem i like punishing myself. Long story short i have a opportunity to get this small boat with engine and trailer for 300. The hull looks good just sanding paint maybe some jellcoat. Engine as well as i can tell needs a tune up and t.l.c. the main restoration is all interior. And what ever else is under the unknown hat always find more. The main question is if there is anything else that i may looked over. The boat is in rough shape but i am realistically going into this and i have plenty sweat. Equity.

More pics to come... i believe it a small enough big project that i can handle. I'm sure the stringers are rotten and will need to be redone and glassed as well as the deck. To me if i can get the engine running it will be worth the chance. Any advice is welcome.

Since you like the boat, go for it! You'll probably invest more into it than you'll get back out if you sell it but selling at a profit probably isn't what you have in mind anyway. If you've read a few restore threads you already know you're facing a lot of dirty, sweaty work before you start to see an improvement. You probably also know that by the time you're done you will have a better built boat than if you bought a new one for a small fraction of the price. As for advice, get organized, take lots of pictures to remind you of where everything used to be and if you haven't already, read Woodonglass's "Decks, stringers and transoms," do so and take notes. I'm sure that someone who is more computer literate than me will be along shortly and direct you to it.

Nice looking boat. I'll tag along if you don't mind and watch your progress. Any plans to change the colors?

Vintage rider..thank u for the response... i plan on keeping with the blue and white.. im going to do my darndest to do a good job on this project i believe its small enough to not over whelm. This is the very beginning so i definitely will keep a log on progress. I am going into it knowing how bad it is and that everything will have to be replaced that way im not frustrated with anything. Engine is first priority for me when i get it clean dy lubed and ready to run then i can move to the floors stringer and transom. I have never done this big of an overhaul so the challenge has been set. I have a goal so im already half way there. Thanks for the encouragement and look forward to much progress.

Finally pulled the boat into my driveway. I believe the mosquitoes have hit deep wood status. No surprise all wood is gone, so let the project. Begin.
On a question note i belive the hub in the trailer needs new bearings, fyi when moving a trailer that has been sitting stationery for five years bring a grease gun. Thank goodness it was a short trip the sound coming out of the axle was less than comforting. Tomorrow starts the demmo will keep an update update as much as possible.

Got the majority of the deck out as well as the gas tank... what type of grinder disc is best for the edges of the deck to hull area.
