Hello,

I have a 18.5' fibreglass bowrider that I usually trailer, but this year I would like to get a slip at a local marina (freshwater in Lake Ontario). The boat is a '93 and I have only had her for 4 years but it does not look like it has ever been left in the water. The hull is fairly clean with minimal staining, there are no signs of osmosis and there are a couple of fibreglass patches on the bottom made by some previous owner.

Since the boat will be in the water for a few months this year I would like to keep the hull looking clean - I really hate to see boats with the dirty water line caked on. So I would like to paint the bottom of the boat but do not want to spend a ton of money because I have spent quite a bit this year on other maintenance and still have to pay insurance and slip fee.

I am looking at this:

Any concerns using this paint as a first-time user? It is under $60 for a gallon and I hope that one will be enough.

Thanks!
