Hi all. I was not successful at sealing my Lexan leaking windows over aluminum extruded frames. Would the aluminum need priming? What would be the best caulking for the job? I don't want to do this again. Thanks for your help

It might help if you can post some pics or provide more detail on the type of joint and caulking you are using now along with prep methods.

I will say that 3m4000 or 3m4200 would likely be a better choice than any silicone caulk but the successful application is limited to areas without excessive movement and requires a clean surface.

Need to see the type of frame you are mounting the Lexan windows into. Different frame styles will call for different solutions.

Is it releasing from the Lexan or from the aluminum... or both?

What did you clean them with?
