Hello all, this is my first post on the forum! Just wanted to start a thread on the restoration of my 1984 Procraft 1650. I traded a 1995 Suzuki dirt bike for the boat about a month ago. The transom did not seem to flex under weight, and the 115 Mercury started right up. The only thing that I knew would have to be repaired was a soft spot in the floor and the waterpump. After I got the boat home I put a water pump in it and took it out to the lake. She ran great! But the next week I realized the wood under the batteries was rotten. This gave me a bad feeling about the transom... Sure enough the the plywood in it was like a wet sponge. Since I knew the transom needed to be replaced I ripped up the floor to see how bad it was. Needless to say the stringers were shot as well. So no I am in the process of removing the cap to repair the transom, stringers and the floor. I will post pictures later on tonight!
