He gets super lucky too, finds boats with dry foam and a good transom.

I didn't think those really existed! Well maybe he is smarter and searches for those that don't have rot throughout.....I was too green to know! I was sooo excited to get a new boat, I would have and did miss many things!

Thanks guys, I've done my share of rotten transoms and wet foam, but yes we did get lucky on the last couple we've redone, checked this one out thoroughly I may just keep it for myself and the last thing I want is to do all that work only to find out it has wet foam or rotten transom.

You're busting this one out, I'm paying attention to the that front casting deck area as I have some ideas for mine but it's nice to see someone else that knows what their doing put one together.

Nice work! I've often wondered how these older boats would look a higher set windshield. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Nice work, I'm not much for carpet but I can appreciate the effort and work that goes into everything on these rebuilds.

As the voluntary Dry Dock Union Rep, I'm gonna have to ask that you slow down you're making the rest of us look bad. :D

Nice work so far Budski.

Thanks TDF, it's a fair amount of work Rob, but when you consider the amount of labor prepping for paint I really don't think it's more work. got the gunnels carpeted, hoping to get the consoles done tomorrow then final assembly on the bow area.

Wow, Budski looks great! But like others I have to request that you slow down a bit. The rest of us are really looking bad as dust has had a chance to settle on our projects!

Sorry if you mentioned this, but what carpet adhesive are you using, and are there any special tricks to applying and ensuring good carpet adhesion?

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks Jeff, the glue I use is called Jaxon Automotive trim cement, I buy it at the same place I buy my marine carpeting here locally, this is the glue they recommend for carpet and vinyl flooring, I use a small 4 inch paint roller and apply it to both surfaces wait till is tacky and lay it together, works great, but it's expensive, about $40.00 Canadian a gallon, and so far I've used about 4 gallons and not done yet.

Carpet fever! Man I bet she'll be quiet out on the water all that carpet will soak up the sounds normally heard in tin boats.
