I am getting ready to finish the buffing and replace the pin striping I removed .

Whats the best way to ensure good adhesion of the vinyl after buffing & waxing // Or should avoid the wax altogether.

My process in the past has been

400 grit for heavy oxides orbital sander
600 grit with air powered da sander
1000 grit wet with air powered da sander
Power Buff with 3m buffing compound
Power Buff with 3m restorer wax
Extra coat of marine paste wax-- hand applied -- Power buff off

Along with the best way to ensure good adhesion on vinyl pin striping // Its a fairly large hull ( 26 feet ) -- so any tips & tricks that save labor and or cost are appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Also the adhesive on the stripe will "set" in 24 hrs or you can cheat by passing a heat gun over it and allowing it to cool being careful not to get it too hot. Once set go ahead and wax it. Most stripes have a clear seal that also needs to be peeled off once stripe is applied.
