I'm trying to get the old wood out of my transom and ran into an issue. The manufacturer must have machined in the holes that provide drainage to/from the splash well. Has anyone encountered this? If so, how did you remove and replace the aluminum piece that makes the hole?

They are not reusable, so as Wood said, chisel, hammer and start beating out, then order new ones.

And search around there, there is a good diagram of a diy flare tool for them also.

That's it. Make sure you cut the tube to the correct length and put the insert inside the tube to make the HomeMade version work correctly!!!!:D
