can any one help me with a diagram for a tilt trim system on a 1988 125hp force motor. Does the factory set up use two separate switches [ 1 for tilt,1 for trim] or do they both work at the same time in unison?I know RRITT would be able to rattle this off even if he were in a coma ,but would take advice and help from any knowledgeable boataholic. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
1 switch for tilt and trim. The system is a two stage trim for help on take off and planing. Then tilt for tilting out of the water.
What are you trying to do??? J
all the 2w mercury, forces, and mariners are same with the exception of circuit breaker. Some had it and some did not. use the harness from any to fit any and crimp on connectors to match your existing stuff. the switches are all in parallel so that any switch from any spot activates the same wires at relays. waterproof switch in wet locations but otherwise just any old spdt momentary with center off works. there is no protection or circuitry in case you are at transom pushing down button while your kid is at console pushing up button. One of you just have to stop before it bursts into flames.
