Default Water instead of antifreeze coolant

My boat has an inside and outside cooling system. Lat time I started it up it started bubbling a liquid (either antifreeze or water) from the antifreeze entry point, I am now fearing the worst. I previously had water in my oil pan, so i replaced the manifolds, elbows, and assorted gaskets. This stopped the problem. Now, instead of antifreeze coolant in the (head?) outside water is leaking in through and antifreeze is being drained uot theorugh the manifolds and dispersed. Is it possible that I must now tediously have the head gaskets replaced? Anyone have any idea what could be causing this water leakage problem? The boat runs twin Chryler 360's. I am first-time, new boat owner and I would appreciate any advice. 28milgram@cua.edu

Hi mmilgram, welcome to iboats!Even though your motors are chryslers, this section deals with outboards only.Your problem is heatexchanger related, might I suggest that you repost (and delete this one) in the inboard/outboard section, the guys there will steer you in the right direction. Try and include more info such as type of leg etc.Aldo

hello just so I am not confused. you have a freshwater cooling system. do you have fresh water cooled manifolds. these manifolds will use a block off plate to seperate the manifold from the seawater in the riser. how do you know the antifreeze is leaking into the manifold. I am rather confused with your post. but keep posting and we can help.
