    Default Throttle Control Wire

There are two electrical wires coming from under the dash to the the throttle control for a 1998 Force 90 HP ELPT outboard. I unplugged them a while back to move it. I forgot which wire went where.... I have a 50/50 chance of getting it right, but I don't want to mess anything up. BTW, the wires are the same color as far as I can tell...Here is a picture:

    Thanks!

Yellow with red trace is the start circuit. They would attach to a micro-switch inside the control box that is closed only in neutral, thus preventing starting in gear. By joining the wires together as they appear to be in the photo, you are bypassing the switch and the engine now CAN start in gear---dangerous.

It doesn't matter which wire goes to which terminal of the switch
