Force Control Cable Dilemma

My son has just purchased an 87 model 85hp force. He has also purchased a US Marine control. The problem is how do you hook up the control cables as the end at the motor is anchored and the end in the controller is moveable. Is the controller incompatable or what. Where can I go to find out what problem is? Thanks

I guess I'm not sure what you are having trouble with. USMarine controls should work. You have to open the control box up, and attach the cables.It may be easier to do, if you unhook the cables from the motor end, attach at control end, than re-attach at the motor.
