Force 125 1987 water pump circulation question?

My recently purchased 1987 Force 125 had water in the gear case oil and gear oil leaking from water intake. To fix I removed gear case and installed new water pump housing and impeller plus new drive shaft seal located underneath the water pump housing. After putting it all back together I started the engine up using earmuffs. Everything appears to be working fine except I am noticing streams of water coming out of the 6 little holes outside the gear case in between the bolts that attach the gear case to the leg. Is this normal? I can not remember if this was happing before?

Did you install a new water pump gasket?
