Need to make sure the compression is good. With a good guage 145-150#.
The pumps diaphrams make sure they are good too.Reeds too.
The air screws should be 1 and 1/16 turn out to start.
Then after it's warm and in the water and in gear.Slowly turn in the screw till it just starts to cough/buck or stall then out 1/2 turn.Do this on all 3. The idle should be 750-800rpm in gear.Do it twice.
Some people say then turn it in a little bit after this DON"T.
Will cause piston failure and cost lots.
IF YOUR OUTBOARD DOESN"T START WITHING A FEW SECONDS THEN SOMETHING"S WRONG!!!!
boats . net is NOT the place to buy parts. They managed to screw up my last 4 orders.
NO communication,NO follow through. Incompetent staff.Nuff said!
