Adding Tilt & trim to 1987 Force 85hp

Hello All,
Well I bought an OEM Force 2 wire Tilt and Trim unit for my boat. The unit did not come with a wiring harness so I am attempting to construct my own. From the info I could find on the Crowley marine schematics, I have the up & down switch, and the relays but I am not sure if I will also need solenoids or any thing else. If I do need other items I could use a little help on how to wire them in. Any help is always appreciated.

you are going to need sockets for relays to plug into. Those will cost as much as a used wiring harness off ebay, craigslist, etc. So just go to ebay and spring the $10 for a used harness.

Just a suggestion. For the size boat you have, it would be better to buy a set of smart tabs for $125 and sell the stuff you already bought on ebay. This will give you great performance and less headaches and additional weight that you don't need.
