My 89 Force 125 has the dual exhaust (around the prop shaft and the fin). The prop does not have a pass-through for the exhaust is this normal? I purchased the boat second-hand so I can't say if the prop is correct.I know the lower unit is off a 150 HP 1990+ because when I went to replace the water pump I got the wrong one. Thanks for the help!
I suppose the former owner replaced the gearcase but used the old prop. Run the motor on a hose with the prop off. That will tell you for sure if any exhaust is coming out of the prop area, or if it's all coming out of the snout. If you get water and exhaust out of the prop area, then a thru-hub prop would be beneficial. They're kinda hard to find, but Michigan Wheel would have something I expect.
Hey, Have you seen? They make Really Cool life preservers nowadays.
So "Looking Dorky" is no longer an excuse for not wearing one.

Yea I did that last week and exhaust was comming out around the prop shaft and the snout. I will look for a through hub prop. Thanks
