1999 Force 75 Tach questions

This question is two fold.

Is there a cheap way to rig a temp tach just for figuring out rpm's for prop choice?

If not, does this engine take a 20 pin connection to the alternator for tach connection? I have read this for most of the larger force motors but haven't found any info specific to the 1999 75 hp.

Your motor has a 12 pole stator so you can use one of the more common tachs that can be set to 6P (pulses).
