    Default 1987 force 50 hp impeller cover weep hole

    Should the impeller cover have the weep hole ? What is the water comming out of the weep hole for?

    Yes, there should be a small weep hole about 1/32 inch in the top of the pump case. I am not sure of the reason but I suspect it has to do with either faster priming of the pump or equalizing water flow through the pump when the thermostat is closed. Could even be to keep excess pressure off the seal. Anyone else out there know for sure?

    It's to let the bubble out when the pump is immersed.
    Hey, Have you seen? They make Really Cool life preservers nowadays.
    So "Looking Dorky" is no longer an excuse for not wearing one.
