Doing a bathroom remodel with a countertop and undermount sink to be reused. Vanity has to be replaced. No prob.! Removed the vanity in pieces, propped up the top and went to the big box store to get a replacement. 21" depth used to be the norm. Now 18' is the norm w/top included. What the (), I now have to hold the 18
" out from the wall and fill in all the gaps. Where's the 3# coffee can? Heck, they've even put a waist line in my Bud cans to shave .7 oz. off my 12 oz. of beer. Really getting frustrating.

Not sure if any of yall remember or even know but back in 09 the power head on my all but new Merc 25 2stroke burned a piston on the bottom cylinder. Took it to a couple places to check in to repairing and the all quoted prices that was WAY out of my budget. Soooo, the Merc 25 took up residence in the far corner of my shop and has been there until yesterday. In cruising the craigslist ads I found a same make and model engine as mine with the lower end torn up. Lower unit, exhaust housing and mount damage. He hit some thing.

I called the guy with the intent of selling him my engine BUT he made me an offer I couldnt refuse so I bought his for $100 and got a complete, dressed powerhead with 110+ compression on both cylinders......Looks like i'm back in the boating business ! ! !

This is my post in the Merc forum when my engine shot craps on me.

The wife and I are looking at going camping for her birthday the second week of June. We are looking at one of three local lakes that have state camp ground sites. The problem is that this is the first time we will be camping with our boat. Not all of the latches lock as it is an older boat. How worried should I be about the stuff I keep in the boat, i.e.: rods, reels, and some tools? Should I take them out at night or just lock up what I can?

Any experiences you guys can give me would be great.

I've worn some sort of facial hair most of my adult life. On occasion I've let my beard grow a little wild. Picture a 60 plus year old Viet Nam era vet with gray hair and bushy gray beard. That's me.

I decided this afternoon to clean things up. I located my Wahl Homecut Adjustable trimmer and attached the #4 ( 1/2 inch) brush guard. I guess it's technically a depth guide.

Before anybody gets the wrong idea, all my manscaping is performed on areas above my shoulders.

I got the wild beard tamed back to a respectable and distinguished appearance and even attacked a nose hair or three.

It was after this initial clean up that I went to Mrs.Tyme's Salon where I received a haircut. She just uses the same #4 guide and gives me a haircut. After that visit I changed seats at the dining room table over to Mrs.Tyme's Saloon and was served a Woodford Reserve on the rocks to ease the PTSD that flairs up after manscaping.

I'm now presentable enough to join some other elder fishermen on our annual trip to Minnesota next month. I would reveal more, but what happens at the lake home in Minnesota stays at the lake home in Minnesota.

In order to spare the impressionable youngsters that visit this site there will be no before or after photos.

So I am looking for shipping rates for my big move to Maui, HI in June and I've received some pricey quotes. I am shipping 1. My Extended Cab Pickup
2. Some household belongings

I understand the process for vehicles is to get it to Long Beach Port from Minnesnowda and then from there I pay to put it on the ship to Maui (Matson or T.A.S.)

Has anyone had any success with a specific auto transport carrier?

I have an auction out on uShip but I havent had any bites yet. Correction I just got a bid for $1075 from MN to Port of Long Beach. That seems reasonable but do you think I can do better for an extended cab going 1900miles?
