Hi im trying to diagnose my 50 Force ignition problem and its telling me that i need a DVA (Direct Voltage Adapter) to test my Stator. Its a prestolight ignition if there is another way to test it and some one could let me know that would be great.
The direct voltage adapter (DVA) is for a multimeter. I have one for my digital fluke multimeter. If I remember correctly it takes an AC current produced by the flywheel spinning and makes it DC current for the meter to read. This is used for troubleshooting ignition problems between the wires coming off the stator and trigger and where they terminate on the engine's ignition system. The manual for the motor should tell you what ranges you want to see.
