Default Need help connecting tach gauge

Here what I have, I have a OMC set of controls with the following wiring coming from the controls. Red, Black/white, Black/yellow, Yellow/red, Purple and Purple/white. What I'm tring to fine out is the Sender for the tach gage. I have the following wires from the tach, Black, Gray, Purple... I connected the purple wire from the tach to the purple switch wire from the controls. I then connected the black wire from the tach to the fuse box. All I have left is the Gray wire (which I'm assuming is the sender wire) from the tach. Do I have this connected properly and where on the controls does the Gray wire go....

Now that what I wanted to fine out, because I do have a gray wire but its on the motor. I will send pictures of the harness from the controls. I don't know if I would have to run the gray wire from the tach to the gray wire on the engine harness, If so, I would have to do that for the temp gauge and Tilt/trim. . Ok here are the pictures of the harness from the controls that coinnect to the motor. As you can see in the pictures, I have all the colors of the rainbow. As you can also see I have the Gray wire coming from the controls. Now, the harness that connects to the controls has 3 plug conntors on the other end, (which connects to the harness of the motor) 2 square plugs that connects to the harness of the motor and one triangler plug that connects to the tilt/trim. My question is, is this the gray wire for the tach.
