1000/100hp mercury thunderbolt ignition question

im new here but i am having trouble figuring out how to wire up the ignition switch. i am using a 6 prong switch. origionally it uses a 5 prong switch. i was told the extra wire is just for the choke.is this conversion possable? i have figured out where some of the wires go but not all of them. any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. its a 1000/100 hp with thunderbolt ignition and im not sure of the year thanks

there is 7 wires total. yellow,red,black,pink,white,brown,gray i know where red and yellow go for sure and i think gray is right as well but as for everything else im up in the air with. any help at all with the rest would be great thanks
