    Default Washdown pump problem

    Just installed a new livewell/washdown pump. It does not want to suck up water. When I turn it on it makes gurgling noises like its trying to suck water up but nothing discharges. The pick up is under the boat so I know its reaching water. Pump is Jabsco 4gpm, self priming to 8ft, intake hose only runs about 4ft.
