    Default Vintage boat electrical restoration/ upgrade

    I am getting together the wires/switches/buss bar etc. I purchaed a DC panel and am going to upgrade a MFG Carefree 14 to bring her into the new miliniom. Any good advice from you guys/gals, so i dont have to make any Rookie mistakes. Im a motorcycle kind of wrench, but boats are my new intrest.

    Don't shop at home depot.
    No twist nut connections,
    use solder and heat shrink tubing, liquid elec tape is good for sealing open connections.
    Post in the correct electrical forum for the best ideas.
