    Default Portable Fresh Water Washdown?

    All,

I've been trailering my boat to and from the marina that I'm keeping it at - my problem is that the boat sits in a storage lot with no access to a hose, beyond me lugging a bucket around. Do they make any sort of portable sprayer? How bad is it to NOT wash your boat down after every use? I think that's an obvious question but I figured I'd ask anyway

salt is the enemy of all metal parts, and the motor. i rinse mine down after every dip, and flush the motor. hope you are keeping it covered.

Something like this may work for you. It may not have a whole lot of pressure and you may have to refill each time, but better than not washing down:

For a simple rig...Do a standard 12v washdown pump with clamps to the battery for juice. Draw water from portable 5 gal jugs if you don't have a dedicated fresh water tank. Then you can rinse the boat and flush the motor.
