I recently bought my first boat and one of the many problems is my gas tank under the floor board has rust and water in it, how do I clean that out?

I would start by seeing how much rust you have,
if it is just rusty water and no big flakes, remove, empty, flush, swish some new oil around for a coating and away you go after you replace all your filters and clean the carb.
If you have big flakes coming out, its time to replace.

How difficult is the tank to remove? If you can get it out there is a product called Kreem thats used to recoat the inside of tanks. Used on old motorcycles all the time.

I had a classic Bronco 4X4 with a rusty gas tank. It clogged filters like crazy until I used a product called red-kote. You can get it at O-Reilly's.

Looks to do the same thing except kreem is a 2 part system. The 1st part removes rust and etches and the second part coats.
