Default Forward bilge - Bayliner Trophy 2002

Any thoughts on how to keep water out of the front bilge area in a 1993 trophy?
I know newer boats have a forward bilge pump installed.

Also any advice on the floor of the cuddy cabin - It seems that due to the water issues in front the floor is a little spongy - Advice?IMG00228-20110612-1707.jpgIMG00222-20110612-1705.jpgIMG00224-20110612-1706.jpg

First you need to unclog the tube that runs between the forward and rear bilge (see pic #2). If you keep the boat on a trailer, keep the nose high enough for the water to run back into the rear bilge. I have a 2455 and it is a pain to get the water out of the forward bilge. If It's gonna be a week or more until I use it again, I usually open the access hatch and manually dry it out the best that I can.
The four great truths of boating:

Boating gets exponentially more expensive as size increases.

Making the payment is easy, it's the maintenance and fuel to enjoy it that's expensive.

Boats shrink when young children are on board.

Never approach a dock faster than you are willing to hit it.

Re the cuddy floor: I predict a trip to the Restoration section for you. Rot never sleeps.
