Cabin Cruiser RENTAL

My wife and I are interested in getting into boating. We were wondering if there are any places, specifically in the New Jersey area, that rent cabin cruisers out for the week or weekend, just so I can assure her that she'd like it. I haven't been able to find anyone who does rentals on larger boats, it's mostly pontoon boats and little skiffs. Any ideas? Thank you for responding in advance!

I know up in the Lake George are of N.Y. you can rent a runabout for about $100./hr., plus fuel. If you can find a place that rents what you're looking for, it would cost a fortune.

Honestly, you won't get a very representative of a good cruiser unless you can rent from a private party. The rentals I've seen (in Florida) are stripped down as much as possible as there is less to go wrong and or damage. The folks that rent them try to buy the cheapest thing they can which means none of the "nicities" you expect from a cruiser.
