    Default Boat Lift

My friend saw a new floating boat lift from Sunstream at a boat show that seems pretty unbelievable. High speed (20 seconds), remote controlled, solar, and tied up anywhere you can put your boat, just with dock lines. He said it uses hydraulics and foam-filled floats instead of air, so it can't sink. I am thinking of not painting my new boat bottom and getting one. I would think it would pay for itself just in reduced bottom maintenance and the resale value of my new boat. Plus it seems really cool. Does anyone know anything about it or the company (Sunstream)? Does anyone know of a dealer in the Houston, TX area?

I have never heard of them but it sounds like a neat system. I just purchsed a new dock and found a 15 year old "Hydrolift" It doesnt look pretty , but my boat is high and dry and Clean now. I priced new lifts and my budget did not allow for a brand new one this year.Good luck..Bill T. Oklahoma

I have had a Sunstream FloatLift Boat Lift for about 5 years now. It is awesome! Lifts and lowers in a few seconds by remote as you said, and is solar. I just have it tied up with dock lines. One surprising benefit that was not mentioned during the sale process is the easy access to the boat bottom and prop. They are a big company, so I would bet they have a dealer in Houston. Their web site is www.sunstreamcorp.com . It was a pleasure dealing with the company and their local dealer. I added their HoverCover a couple years ago, and love that too.

Sunstream used to advertise with a banner here on iBoats. As a matter of fact, it is just to the right of this reply I am typing right now.
Here is the link from the iBoats banner ad: http://sunstreamcorp.com/Sunlift.htm
