anyone know where I can find a short pedestal?

Have an old Starcraft 15 footer with a curved plywood floor. I wanna put pedestal seats in but the seats are mounted only 7 or 8 inches above the floor and I dont want to go any higher. Anyone know where I can get short adjustable pedestals? Everything I see is 12 or 15 inches.

Cabelas has seat pedastals that are 7 and 9".

On my old jon boat, I took a pedestal like this Seasense 3/4" Pin Seat Post, popped the nylon insert out of end, cut the post down with a recip saw and reinserted the nylon insert. It worked great.

Not adjustable but I got 8" ones for mine at greatlakesskipper.com

Try it with the 12's, you might find that it's a good fit. I measured my old seats and couldn't find 9's at the time (found them later) but after I got the 9's I found I actually liked the 12's better.

Thanks for the suggestions! ....also I am mounting this to a semi-curved 1/4 inch plywood floor, which means I need to fabricate some kind of tapered shim...am I better off just building a small custom wood box to bolt them on?
