    Default 1981 Mercury concealed control box - Help!

    I just purchased a 1981 Merc 200 with a concealed control box. I am trying to remove the box and motor and install on another boat. I've removed 8 screws on the outside portion of the box (the part close to the driver). However, I can't figure out how to get the handle loose to seperate the units apart. Any ideas?????Rick
