    Default substitute for fir plywood?

Ok, I've looked and looked. I just can not find any douglas fir or marine grade plywood locally. What else could I use for transom and stringers? I will be using polyester if that matters.

Default Re: substitute for fir plywood?

Here's Aruco plywood at the Lake Charles Home Depot:

Arauco 32 sq. ft. Pine Cabinet Panel-781850 at The Home Depot

It's made with the phenolic formaldehyde (epoxy) exterior grade resin. Good straight stuff with very few if any voids.
I consider overkill a job well done... plus a little extra.

There's as many ways to do something as there is people to tell you how to do it... but not all of them are the right way.

The drinking and debauchery will continue until morale improves... and maybe for a little while after.
