i have a sea pro 210 cc pedistal seats that need replaced. Can I remove them and replace them with a swing back icechest type bench seat ???? If anyone has done this or knows about it let me know what u think. Also are most pedistal seats screwed or bolted to the floor . thanks
Most pedestal seats I'm familiar with are bolted to the deck with "T" nuts embedded in the underside of the plywood. If yours are bolted, the bolts should be visible.
You should post some pics of the seats you have, mainly the base.
A link to the type of seat you intend to install would be helpful too.
I'm taking it for granted your boat is a fiberglass boat. If this is the case, then removing and installing seats can be tricky and a lot of work because existing and new penetrations to the deck can lead to water penetrating your deck and rotting your decking and everything below the deck.
If your boat is an aluminum boat it will be a piece of cake.
I consider overkill a job well done... plus a little extra.
There's as many ways to do something as there is people to tell you how to do it... but not all of them are the right way.
The drinking and debauchery will continue until morale improves... and maybe for a little while after.
