    Default livewell hose leeking

I have a 1999 ranger cherokee 207. There is water leaking out of one of the livewell hoses coming from the pump. the problem is I can't get to anything. Do I have to start cutting holes or what? does not seem like any way to take the compartments apart to acess anything. I have removed the batteries but still can't get to anything.Anbody been here before?

Hello Kat and welcome to Iboats ..

There has to be a way to access the pumps man..

Are these Molded in wells..or are they seperate tubs that are Screwed and glued in.. ?

Im sure they would have to be tubs that were installed in the deck.. that would be one hell of a mold to build if they were 'integral' of the deck build ..

    I could be wrong though..

    Got pics ?

Thanks there doc! I don't have alot of experience with ranger boats. The floor that the batteries sit on is actually the lower deck of the boat. The raised deck that has the livewell and other compartments in it sets on top of it. with the batteries out there is about a 10 by 24 inch opening to acsess the bilge. That's it. ther is foam between all the compartments. It's put together pretty well! I'll try to get some pics. The upper deck is wrapped in aluminum and has welded seems. I've been trying to get ahold of ranger but no luck yet.As far as the pump goes I can see it and feel it , it's the hoses I can't get too. It's almost like you have to take the top deck off to get to anything , but that seems stupid don't know why it would be built like that. Must be something I can't see.

Thats because peeps that dream up boats on Autocad have no clue about the full lifetime of the boat LOL .. Looks good on the screen until you have to 'Fix' something. Then its up to us FG'ers to find a way to get to it and fix it within a limited amount of $$ ..

I have seen whole boat builds Trashed because of 'design' issues.

Get some pics up .. lets see what we can do about this. ( overalls too please ).
