howo make a fiber glass bow sprit

Hi al i have a bertram 18 and i would like to make bow sprit so i can leave my anchor on it as later on Im going to put an anchor winch on but i dont no where to start. Any help will be great.

Are you looking to just add a bolt on " bow pulpit" or do you want it molded into the hull? Pics of your boat might help.

I was trying to mould one up then put a roller on it for my anchor to run over. I'll try get some photos up soon

A custom bow sprit that overhangs your bow deck is not that hard.

The hard part is connecting the mod to your boat.

An 18' boat might be a little under structured to do this without modifications to your current deck/hull bow joint.

An additional Winch mounted on the bow/deck would further complicate things.

It is possible..but not really cost effective IMO.
