I have a 90 bayliner cobra that seems to have a leak in the fuel tank. Either that or a hose by the tank is leaking. seems to only b e bad when the tank is more then half full.
Anyways how hard is it to change the tank, and if it is difficult, how much should I expect to pay someone to do it?
To have a shop do it...yes I would think it might be a bit pricey. The only wires that run anywhere close to the gas tank are the speaker wires.
I would double check the the hoses and hose clamps that go to the fuel tank first. They're all located at the back of the tank by the fuel fill tube. A lot less effort and expense to replace a hose than tear up your floor.
