86 Capri 19.5' tongue wt.

Anybody know what the tongue weight should be for an 86 capri 19.5' cuddy? When I first got the boat the tongue was really light and I could move the boat with 1 hand but it towed like crap and would bounce around on me. So I moved the axle back a bit and now I think it's too heavy.

I would say around 200-300 lbs. I dont know what my tongue weight is, but i have a 19.5' and I can move my trailer around, and even pick up my tongue and put it on the ball. Im kindof a big guy though also. It was probably pretty good before you moved the axle. Mine tows wonderful, no sway or anything like that. Did you attempt to check the tongue weight beforehand? 200-300 lbs really isnt much, I move my trailer around by hand all the time.
